The CIA runs the USA, and other countries, using the 'Deep State'.

According to John Glaser (The American Deep State by John Glaser - Antiwar.com):

"The US defense budget is the largest piece of the budget...

"The intelligence community is ... as a Washington Post investigation put it, 'so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs...

"The 'deep state' in America seems more threatening and out of control than does Pakistan's".

The 'Deep State' aims to keep the elites in power.

According to peter Dale Scott (The "Deep State" behind U.S. democracy [Voltaire Network]): "The term 'Deep State' comes from Turkey.

"They invented it after the wreck of a speeding Mercedes in 1996 in which the passengers were:

a Member of Parliament,

a beauty queen,

a local senior police captain,

and an important drug trafficker in Turkey who was also the head of a criminal paramilitary organization - the Grey Wolves - that went around killing people.

"And it became very obvious in Turkey that there were a covert relationship between the police ... and these people who committed crimes on behalf of the state...

"The 'Deep State' is... a parallel secret government, organized by the intelligence and security apparatus, financed by drugs, and engaging in illicit violence, to protect the status and interests of the military against threats from intellectuals, religious groups, and occasionally the constitutional government."

The 'Deep State' has been responsible for:

1. Recruiting Nazis into the CIA (Operation Paperclip)

2. Planning acts of terrorism in the USA (Operation Northwoods).

3. Carrying out acts of terrorism in Europe (Operation Gladio)

4. Gaining control of the media (Operation Mockingbird)

5. Carrying out torture experiments on children, in order to turn them into brainwashed sex slaves or assassins (MK ULTRA)

6. Smuggling cocaine into the USA (Iran Contra)

7. Using al Qaeda to weaken countries such as Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Libya.

8. Running child abuse rings, such as the Dutroux network.

Italy provides a good example of how the 'Deep State' operates.

In March 1981, the Italian police found a list of the 962 members of P2, which contained the names of:

3 government ministers and 43 members of parliament,

43 generals and 8 admirals,

Secret service chiefs,

Top bureaucrats and diplomats,

Police commanders, industrialists, financiers, journalists and TV personalities.

Top people who allegedly had contact with P-2 include Henry Kissinger, Edmond de Rothschild, and David Rockefeller.

The 'Deep State' reportedly combines mafias, military chiefs and monarchs.

The South of France provides another example.

In 1999, according to Peter Dale Scott, a former Canadian diplomat, (The Global Drug Meta-Group.) a meeting took place at Adnan Khashoggi's villa in Beaulieu, near Monaco.

Those at the meeting included a member of the Yeltsin cabal and four people with passports from Venezuela, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Germany.

Between them they allegedly enjoyed excellent relations with:

1) Ayman al-Zawahiri, the 'mastermind of 9/11'.

2) Soviet military intelligence.

3) the FARC Colombian revolutionary group.

4) the Kosovo Liberation Army.

5) (according to a well-informed Russian source) the CIA.

India has its 'Deep State'. Brijesh Mishra holds a meeting with Tony Blair's Jewish security adviser Sir David Manning in New Delhi on July 10, 2002. Manning was in New York on 9 11 and saw the Twin Towers attacked. Brijesh Mishra has connections with Sonia Gandhi's Italian family through his daughter Jyotsna.

K S Sudarshan, former leader of the Hindu nationalist RSS organisation, says that Sonia Gandhi works for the CIA.

K S Sudarshan accused Sonia Gandhi of plotting the assassinations of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and his mother Indira Gandhi .

Allegedly, Turkey's prime minister, Recep Erdogan, has secret Jewish origins.

Reportedly, the CIA and its friends run Turkey.

Gülenists allegedly hold key posts in Turkey's interior and education ministries, judiciary system, and police.

Reportedly, Gülenists now control the Turkish military.

On 29 December 2011, at EurasiaNet, there is an article about the people who secretly run Turkey - the Gülen Movement and the Deep State?

Journalists Ahmet Şık and Nedim Şener were investigating the Gülen movement.

They were arrested in March 2011 and put on trial on 26 December 2011.

Şık and Şener were arrested for alleged membership of Ergenekon.

On 20 December 2011, 38 journalists were arrested.

Also arrested have been former intelligence official Hanefi Avcı, author of a book about the Gulen movement, and Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, an Islamic preacher widely seen as a rival of Fethullah Gülen.

"Citing personal safety concerns, several Turkish reporters, professors and columnists who have investigated the movement in Turkey declined to be interviewed by EurasiaNet.org."

One journalist, Ertuğrul Mavioğlu, says that the Gulen movement has replaced the military as Turkey’s 'deep state.'

According to Mavioğlu: Turkey's prime minister Recep Erdoğan "is successful because he is in government and Fethullah Gulen has a lot of people in the government.

"The state is Fethullah Gulen..."

Mavioğlu claims Gulen wants to increase its influence via its schools and to secure business contracts for its Turkish followers.

Corruption has worsened.

A human rights activist says of present day Tunisia: "We are overwhelmed with cases of human rights abuses.

She described the case of an alleged robber who was transferred to hospital from prison with a stomach complaint.

While in hospital, she claims, he was brutally beaten and sexually assaulted.

She found him with his legs chained to the bed and severe injuries to his genitals.

In the same hospital she found another prisoner lying in the emergency ward, his body festering with worms and covered in excrement.

He had, she says, been there for a month.

Unemployment has soared.

ISRAEL SHOULD NOT BE WORRIED BY THE NEW GOVERMENTS?

Gulen lives in America and has been accused of having links to the CIA.

The Gulen movement "forms the apex of a huge conglomerate that includes NGOs, firms, newspapers and college dormitories in Turkey, plus schools across the world."

Several journalists who have tried probing Gulen have found themselves prosecuted or jailed.

Abdel hakim Belhaj is now the military boss in Tripoli.

Belhaj's Libyan Islamic Fighting Group has been part of al Qaeda.

In the 1980s, Belhaj was fighting alongside the CIA in Afghanistan.

The US government wants change in Bahrain.

According to Elliot Abrams, of the Council on Foreign Relations:

"There will be no justice and no democracy until the royal family is gone."

The ruling family in Bahrain may not survive.

The mainly Shia protestors may yet topple the Sunni al-Khalifa monarchy.

This is important to both Shia Iran and Sunni Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have helped the Bahrain monarchy to crush dissent.

The Sunnis make up about 40% of the population of Bharain.

On 2 June 2011, The Economist reports ("The loathing persists") on the possibility that Bahrain will become like Iraq.

"The spectre of sectarian bloodletting in the manner of Lebanon and Iraq still frightens many people...

"Some Westerners are packing their bags...

"Banking, which once accounted for over a quarter of Bahrain’s wealth, is searching for safer climes."

The Economist reports (The loathing persists) on the Sunni-Shia divide.

"Teachers arrange 'thank you, Saudi' days in schools.

"The Bahraini king's men have razed dozens of Shia shrines and put up billboards on main roads near Sunni-populated suburbs, depicting nooses dangled over the heads of Shia leaders.

"Hundreds of public-sector Shias have been suspended, to the delight of Sunni immigrants from such places as Pakistan and Bangladesh seeking promotion.

"The Labour Market Regulatory Authority has purged the private sector of Shias suspected of sympathy with the protesters...

Did the Pakistan security services get involved in a fight at the CIA safe house and then discover members of bin Laden's family being housed there?

Did the US military then arrive on the scene to remove the evidence and concoct a story to cover its involvement with al Qaeda?

According to Pakistani Urdu TV channel Geo News (killed in Abbotabad near Islamabad of Pakistan):

Pakistani intelligence officials said that a Pakistani army helicopter was shot down in Abbottabad and then a search operation was launched by Pakistani forces.

At about 1:20 a.m. local time a Pakistani helicopter was shot down by unknown people in the Sikandarabad area of Abbottabad.

The Pakistani forces launched a search operation in the nearby area and encountered a group of unknown armed people.

An exchange of fire followed between the two sides.

When the exchange of fire ended, the Pakistani forces arrested some Arab women and children as well some other armed people.

Two U.S. helicopters flew to the site and carried away a dead body

Initial reports said that at least one was killed and two others were injured in the crash.

At least two houses were engulfed by the huge fire caused by the crashed chopper.

U.S. officials have listed a number of points that they claim prove the dead man is Osama bin Laden:

DNA taken from 'the brain of Osama bin Laden's sister following her death from brain cancer' was a 99.9 per cent match to that of Osama.

A woman, 'believed to be one of bin Laden's wives', confirmed bin Laden was the dead man.

The CIA said they compared photos of bin Laden's body with known photos of him and were 95 per cent sure that they showed the same man.

The burial from an aircraft carrier in the North Arabian Sea was videotaped aboard the ship, according to a senior defence official.

Libya arrests Arab 'network' for destabilising country

TRIPOLI: Libyan authorities have arrested dozens of members of a "network" of Arab nationals allegedly seeking to destabilise the country, the official Jana news agency reported Saturday.

Those detained in several Libyan cities were members of a "foreign network (and were) trained to damage Libya's stability, the safety of its citizens and national unity."

Sources close to the investigation, quoted by the agency, said the group included Tunisian, Egyptian, Sudanese, Palestinian, Syrian and Turkish citizens.

Those arrested were "charged with inciting acts of looting and sabotage, such as burning hospitals, banks, courts, prisons, police stations and offices of the military police, as well as public buildings and private properties, according to plans drawn up earlier," Jana said.

Noting that "certain Libyan cities have been the scene of acts of sabotage and destruction since Tuesday," Jana said the suspects sought to "take arms from police stations and the military police and use them."

"Sources close to the investigation have not ruled out Israel being behind the network," the news agency added.

Wahlström 'has authored stories based on the WikiLeaks material for the newspaper Aftonbladet and is credited as a producer on a recent Swedish public television documentary about the group'.

According to Swedish Radio's investigation, Wahlström is the gatekeeper of the cables in Scandinavia.

Wahlström told Swedish public radio that his "father is what I would call the Swedish equivalent to Salman Rushdie."

A report from the Russian Northern Fleet [transmitted to the Government of Venezuela] would seem to indicate that the earthquate that devastated Haiti was the "clear result of a seismic weapons test recently conducted by the US Navy".

The Northern Fleet has been monitoring the movements and U.S. naval activities in the Caribbean since 2008 when the Americans announced their intention to re-establish the Fourth Fleet which had been dissolved in 1950, to which Russia responded a year later with a Russian fleet headed by the nuclear cruiser Peter the Great, thus kicking off its first exercise in this region since the end of the Cold War.

The report also compares two analogous tests carried out by the U.S. Navy last week: a 6.5 magnitude earthquake that hit the area around the town of Eureka, California, without causing any casualties, and the one in the Caribbean that caused the death of at least 140 thousand innocent people.

As indicated in the report, it is "more than likely" that the U.S. Navy had "full knowledge" of the catastrophic damage that this test would potentially inflict on Haiti, which would explain why Lieutenant General P. K., Military Deputy Commander of U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) had been pre-positioned on the island to oversee the anticipated relief efforts.

The report further indicates that the ultimate goal of these tests is related to plans which foresee the destruction of Iran through a series of earthquakes designed to neutralize the current Islamic regime.

According to the report, the system being tested by the United States (HAARP, for High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is also capable of creating weather anomalies which cause floods, droughts and hurricanes.

According to a previous report, the available data coincides with the one associated with the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Sichuan (China) on 12 May 2008, and which was also caused by electromagnetic waves emitted by HAARP.

One can observe a correlation between seismic activities and the ionosphere, which is a HAARP feature:

1. Earthquakes identical in depth and linearly on the same fault are caused by induced frequency linear projection.

2. A coordinated satellite configuration can generate concentrated frequency projections targeting specific points (hippocampus).

3. A diagram shows that earthquakes considered to be artificial propagate linearly at the same depth.

Nevertheless, Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, announced that the U.S. armed forces were preparing an urgent response to the catastrophe.

General Douglas Fraser, Commander-in-Chief of USSOUTHCOM, indicated that Coast Guard and Navy vessels had been dispatched to Haiti, despite their limited cargo of helicopters and material. The super carrier USS Carl Vinson was sent from Virginia with a complete consignment of planes and helicopters. It arrived in Haiti on January 14 in the afternoon, as specified by Fraser who also remarked that additional helicopter groups would be joining the Carl Vinson.

USAID was already on the spot before the earthquake.

President Obama was informed about the earthquake on January 12 at 17h52 and ordered emergency services to be provided to the staff of his Embassy and humanitarian assistance to the population.

According to the Russian report, the State Department, USAID and the U.S. Southern Command launched their humanitarian invasion by deploying 10000 soldiers and contractors, in lieu of the United Nations, to take control of Haitian territory following the "devastating experimental earthquake.

The "relatives live as normal a life as possible, cooking meals, watching television and reading. They are allowed out only rarely for shopping trips."

The relatives said that Muhammad is still living in the compound.

Omar bin Laden hopes that the family will be allowed to leave Iran and join his mother, brother and two sisters in Syria, or himself and his wife in Qatar.

8. The bin Laden political and business connections

Over the years, there have been warm, substantial ties between members of the bin Laden family and leaders of the foreign-policy establishment in America and Britain. Until late last month, the family had a stake amounting to two million dollars in the Washington-based Carlyle Group, a private equity firm with a large interest in defense contracting.

The Carlyle Group is known for its politically connected executives such as former President George H. W. Bush, former Secretary of State James Baker, and former British Prime Minister John Major.

In the nineteen-nineties, both Bush and Baker visited the bin Laden family when they were prospecting for business in Saudi Arabia. The chairman of the firm is former Defense Secretary Frank Carlucci, who has been a trusted friend of the current Defense Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, since their days on the Princeton wrestling team...

The family continues to have a stake, estimated by one source at about ten million dollars, in the Fremont Group, a private investment company, on whose board of directors sits another former Secretary of State, George Shultz.

Much of the family's private banking is handled by Citigroup, which is chaired by former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin. The family has equity investments with Merrill Lynch and Goldman, Sachs. Among the family's business partners is General Electric. A spokesman for Jack Welch, the chairman of G.E., says that the family threw a party for him in the nineteen-nineties in Saudi Arabia, and that Welch "considers them good business partners."

One American diplomat says, "You talk about your global investors, it's them. They own part of Microsoft, Boeing, and who knows what else." Others note that the family has been awarded contracts to help rebuild American military installations, including the Khobar Towers, which were damaged in a terrorist attack that killed nineteen servicemen in 1996.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said in a statement that five British nationals were detained on November 25 in the Persian Gulf after their yacht reportedly trespassed on Iranian waters.

He said the yacht was en route from Bahrain to Dubai.

This is the third time Iran has arrested British nationals in its territorial waters.

In 2007, Iranian forces seized eight British Royal Navy sailors and seven marines for trespassing Iran's territorial waters. They were released.

In a similar incident in 2004, eight British servicemen were detained in the same area but were later freed.

At the time, Iranian officials confiscated espionage devices from the British nationals.

Megrahi’s legal team was going to produce evidence that a fragment of a timing device, found near the crash site, which pointed to Libyan involvement, could not have survived the explosion.

The legal team also planned to point out that there was no trace of explosive on the fragment.

Some people blame the CIA and Mossad for the Lockerbie Bombing.

Reportedly Mossad had helped a group within the CIA to set up Operation Corea, which involved the export of heroin from Lebanon into the USA.

Reportedly, US intelligence officers Matthew Gannon and Maj. Charles McKee had found out about Corea, and were on their way to the USA to act as whistleblowers.

Elements of the CIA and Mossad are reportedly trying to blame Iran and a Mr Ahmed Jibril.

It was Mossad which allegedly intercepted a telephone call, made two days after the Lockerbie Bombing, by Mr Mohtashami, Interior Minister in Tehran, to the chargé d'affaires at the Iranian embassy in Beirut.

This call instructed the embassy to hand over funds to Jibril and congratulated him on the success of operation 'equal and just revenge'.

However, some would say this is disinformation.

A banking audit trail to confirm the payment has never been presented.

Allegedly, a memo about Lockerbie, from the US Defence Intelligence Agency, dated 24 September 1989, states (US blamed Iran for Lockerbie bomb):

"The bombing of the Pan Am flight was conceived, authorised and financed by Ali-Akbar Mohtashemi-Pur, Iran’s former interior minister.

"The execution of the operation was contracted to Ahmad [Jibril], Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command (PFLP-GC) leader, for a sum of $1m (£600,700).

"$100,000 of this money was given to Jibril up front in Damascus by the Iranian ambassador to Sy [Syria], Muhammad Hussan [Akhari] for initial expenses.

1. lets look at the UKRAINE.

The Orange Revolution looks like a CIA operation to replace a set of pro-Russian oligarchs with a set of pro-American oligarchs.

2. Now let us look at revolts in Eastern Europe, including Hungary and Romania.

In 1956 there was revolt in Hungary against the communist regime. There was no serious support for the rebels from the CIA and its friends and the revolt was crushed.

The 1989 revolt in Romania was successful.

An article apparently written by former Securitate officers ('Was This Your Revolution? This is How It Was!' Democratia, No. 36, 24-30 Sept. 1990) describes how the CIA and KGB organised the fall of Ceausescu.

Reportedly, key figures in the revolt were working for the CIA and KGB, including Militaru (allegedly a KGB-CIA double agent) and the former Securitate officer and adviser to Ceausescu, Dumitru Mazilu (allegedly a CIA agent), and Silviu Brucan (allegedly both a CIA and KGB agent).

Reportedly, just before the revolt, there were 'massive arrivals of so-called Hungarian tourists in Timisoara and Soviet tourists in Cluj'.

3. What about the Philippines?

By the mid 1980s, the CIA had decided that Marcos was no longer the person to run the Philippines. The CIA wanted someone more 'popular'. So a People Power movement was used to replace Marcos with Aquino.

4. Indonesia provides the best example of CIA-organised People Power.

At some point in the 1990s Suharto was seen by some Americans as having become too powerful and too independent minded.

Suharto was giving too many business contracts to his family and Chinese-Indonesian cronies, rather than to American companies like Ford.

Some people in the Pentagon considered the possibility of having a general such as Prabowo or Wiranto or Yuhhoyono take over.

In order to topple Suharto there would need to be riots.

1. Netanyahu has been to Jordan and Egypt.

He has said that Iran's nuclear program is dangerous for the region and that Israel is ready to cooperate with the Arab world to solve this problem.

2. The Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, stated that it is nuclear-armed Israel that presents a threat to the Arab world nuclear view, not Iran.

"Why has the nuclear program [Iran] become the subject of debate, but nobody protests against Israel's nuclear program?" Amr Moussa asked.

3. However, Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia are concerned about Shiite Iran.

4. Jordan is concerned about the establishment of the "Shiite crescent", which could include Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine.

Iraq has fallen under Iran's influence and in Iraq the "Mehdi Army" has fought against the coalition forces.

Shiites gained a majority in the parliamentary elections in Iraq.

5. The armed clash between local Shiites and government forces in Yemen in 2009 has forced the traditional Sunni Arab countries to think of the serious danger in the face of "Shiite crescent."

6. Saudi Arabia worries about Hezbollah in Lebanon. In 2006, during the 34-day war between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah, one of the best-known scholars of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah ibn al- Jibrin banned not only assistance, but also prayer for Hezbollah's victory.

Among the points made:

1. There is a battle for control of oil and gas and for control of the oil and gas pipelines designed to link the Persian Gulf, Central Asia, South Asia, Russia, and China.

2. Russia and Iran control roughly 20% of the world’s oil reserves and nearly 50% of its gas reserves.

Countries such as Russia, Turkmenistan and Iran have huge reserves of gas.

3. There is a plan for a $7.6 billion Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) pipeline.

An agreement for its construction was initialed in 2008.

The USA has tried to wreck the deal.

Pakistan's former President Pervez Musharraf wanted pipelines linking the Persian Gulf and Pakistan with China.

4. Iran has "observer" status in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which includes Russia and China.

Iran will probably become a full member, thus giving it the protection of Russia and China.

China needs Iranian oil and gas and has already made a $100 billion gas deal with Iran.

Russia wants to sell weapons and nuclear energy technology to Iran.

5. China wants Turkmenistan to speed up the construction of the Turkmen-Kazakh-China pipeline which goes from Turkmenistan to China.

7. Russia hopes to see a Russian-controlled Pipeline stretching from Kazakhstan to Greece that will control the flow of energy to Western Europe.

8. The Afghan War is about energy, heroin and military bases.

The USA wants to split Russia and China.

Afghanistan occupies a strategically important position.

Afghanistan is believed to be rich in natural gas, petroleum, coal, copper, chrome, talc, barites, sulfur, lead, zinc, and iron ore.

The heroin trade in Afghanistan uses U.S. dollars.

Afghan heroin kills 30,000 Russians annually.

In 2008, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and India signed an agreement to build a pipeline (TAPI) to take gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India without the involvement of either Iran or Russia.

It would cut through Afghanistan.

9. TAPI’s rival is IPI (India, Pakistan,Iran).

TAPI’s history begins in the mid-1990s, in the Clinton era, when the Taliban were friends of Clinton and the California-based energy company Unocal.

Brzezinski and Kissinger took an interest in the idea of an Afghan pipeline.

The negotiations with the Taliban broke down over the subject of pipeline fees.

There was a Group of Eight summit meeting in Genoa in July 2001.

At that meeting, western diplomats indicated that Bush had decided to attack the Taliban before the end of 2001.

On 9 11, 2001, Bush had his excuse for war.

Afghanistan's new leader Karzai, Pakistani President Musharraf and Turkmenistan’s Nyazov agreed to build a pipeline through Pakistan.

10. In 2006, Russia's Gazprom agreed to buy Turkmenistan's natural gas at the 40% mark-up asked for.

Turkmenistan left the Afghan pipeline project.

Russia also cornered much of the gas exports of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as well.

11. In 2008, Turkmenistan discovered new gas and found it had the second largest gas reserves in the world, ahead of Iran and below Russia.

Without Turkmen gas, Gazprom can’t export all it needs to Europe, the source of 70% of Gazprom’s profits.

Turkmenistan had signed contracts to supply Russia (and China and Iran).

Gazprom thought it controlled all of Turkmenistan’s gas exports, but, the newly discovered gas turns out not to be part of the deal.

12. Obama is working hard to win over Turkmenistan.

Obama wants the TAPI pipeline (Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India).

And he also wants the Turkey-to-Austria Nabucco pipeline to thwart Gazprom.

The proposed Nabucco pipeline, which pleases the USA but not Russia.

13. In March 2009, a pipeline supplying gas to parts of Pakistan was blown up. This raises doubts about the safety of a future pipeline bringing Iranian gas to India via Pakistan (IPI). Balochistan is increasingly troubled.

In April 2009, in Turkmenistan, an explosion hit a pipeline and damaged exports to Russia.

Brzezinski still wants a pipeline through Afghanistan.

14. If Turkmenistan decides to support TAPI, a pipeline through Afghanistan, the USA may have to become friends with the Taliban.

However, at present, Russia is still in the strongest position.

15. Gwadar is a port in Pakistan.

It was built by China.

China hopes to get oil from Iran, via a TAPI pipeline, and Gwadar is to be part of the link.

Pakistan could help take Iranian gas to China, or Turkmenistan gas to Europe.

There’s NATO vs. the SCO (Russia, China).

With TAPI (Turkmenistan Afghanistan Pakistan India), Iran loses and the USA is happy.

With IPI (India Pakistan Iran), the USA is unhappy.

There is a suspicion that the Muslim Brotherhood, and its offshoots such as Hamas and Hezbollah, work to the advantage of Israel and its friends.

Abdel-Moneim Said, on 12 February 2009, at Al-Ahram Weekly, wrote Illusions of the phoenix.

He argues that throughout the recent crisis in Gaza, the Muslim Brotherhood "failed to pay even lip service to Egyptian national interests."

Among the points made:

1. Egypt tried to maintain the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Egypt warned Hamas not to resume the firing of missiles.

Hamas wrongly believed that any invasion would last no more than 3 days.

2. There has been a well orchestrated propaganda campaign against Egypt.

It began when the Iranian "masses" attacked the Egyptian Embassy in Tehran.

Anti-Egyptian slogans were shouted in Damascus, Beirut and other capitals.

3. The Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza is of key importance.

"Egypt sustained the movement of food and medicine across that border, sometimes with Israel's cooperation but more often in defiance of Israel.

"Yet Hamas kept up its attack on Egypt.

"It staged a mass breakthrough into Egyptian territory, it boycotted the signing of a reconciliation agreement with Fatah and then started a war that could not have been more poorly planned and timed, coming when the Palestinian rift was at its most fraught."

4. During the Israeli attack, Egypt was the only country to:

1. actively campaign for a ceasefire.

2. furnish aid to the Palestinians.

3. push for the passage and subsequent implementation of a Security Council resolution and ceasefire.

4. prepare for the reconstruction of Gaza.

"Other Arab and Muslim governments did nothing beyond staging demonstrations and issuing anti-Egyptian statements."

5. How did the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood react to all this?

They joined anti-Egyptian demonstrators.

The Brotherhood did not call upon Tehran to launch any of its long-range missiles during the battle.

Nor did it urge Syria or Hizbullah to open a second front, even though portions of their territory remain occupied.

Nor did it suggest that Turkey sever diplomatic relations with Israel and stop sending it spare parts for its war planes.

The Arabic Nahrainnet website cited sources in Pakistan's Peshawar on 8 December 2008 who claimed that Saudi Arabian intelligence agencies have significantly increased the number of their covert operations.

The sources also reported that Saudi Arabia has extended its channels of communication across Pakistan and particularly Peshawar over the past three months.

According to information obtained from sources in Peshawar, Saudi Arabia has been directly supporting Jundullah to carry out the hostage taking of Iranian police officers.

The report claims Saudi Arabia and the CIA have been using Jundullah to destabilize Iran.

In July 2008, Pakistan's former Army Chief, General Mirza Aslam Baig, said Jundullah is the main recipient of US financial and military aid.

In another report in July 2008, investigative journalist Seymour Hersh revealed that US Congressional leaders secretly agreed last year to President George W. Bush's $400-million funding request for a major escalation in covert operations in Iran.

The mainstream media would like us to believe that the Shah was overthrown by People Power and that the CIA and MI6 were taken by surprise.

However, there is evidence that the CIA and MI6 toppled the Shah because he had become too much of a nationalist, like Nasser, and was not following instructions on oil or even opium.

The CIA did not want left-wing democrats taking over from the Shah as they might not be easy to control. So, reportedly, the CIA allowed the Ayatollahs to take over.

Radio Free Iran claimed that while at Qom, the Ayatollah Khomeini received a "monthly stipend from the British, and he is in constant contact with his masters, the British."

On 19 January 1980, the International Herald Tribune reported that the Shah had said, two years before he was overthrown, that he had heard from two different sources connected with oil companies that the regime in Iran would change.

‘We believe that there was a plan to ensure less oil was offered to the world markets in order to bring about a price,’ said the Shah. ‘One country was to be chosen for the sacrifice... It seems that the country chosen to drop its oil production was mine.’

The Shah's nationalist policies were making him more popular in Iran and making his country more independent and more powerful. This worried the CIA and MI6.

1. The Shah bought land from the upper classes and, along with the crown's own land, sold it back cheaply to tenant farmers. Over one a half million people to became land owners, thus ending the old feudal system.

2.The Shah allowed women the right to vote. He brought an end to the wearing of the veil.

3. He developed plans for a $90 billion nuclear power program.

4. The Shah signed petroleum agreements with ENI, the Italian oil company.

5. He began to close down the opium industry. This had been created during the days of British influence.

'Former intelligence officer' Dr John Coleman considers opium to be of prime importance in the toppling of the Shah (Conspirators’ Hierarchy: The Story of the Committee of 300 - 6). Dr Coleman is sometimes described as being a conspiracy theorist.

Coleman believes that the US government toppled the Shah of Iran.

The arms trade with Iran was sealed at a meeting between Cyrus Vance... and Dr. Hashemi, which resulted in the U.S. Air Force beginning an immediate airlift of arms to Iran, carried on even at the height of the hostage crisis the arms came from U.S. Army stockpiles in Germany and some were even flown directly from the United States with refueling stops at the Azores.

The most noteworthy success of the Islamic movement during this time was of course the overthrow of the Shah of Iran and the installation of the Ayatollah Khomeini as the Islamic dictator. British Intelligence had used their contacts with Iran's mullahs and ayatollahs to help overthrow Mossadegh and install the Shah back in 1953, and these contacts were maintained and used again to overthrow the Shah when his regime fell out of favor.

The Establishment history of Iran's Islamic Revolution is that Khomeini's revolt was spontaneous and populist, and that it overthrew a repressive dictatorship that was hated by the people but supported wholeheartedly by the United States. It is true that the Shah's government was not a democracy and that his secret service, trained by the CIA, was one of the most effective intelligence organizations in the world.

But what is not reported is that prior to the British-sponsored massive public relations campaign on behalf of the Ayatollah the government of the Shah was loved by the vast majority of the population.

After taking over from Mossadegh the Shah began to push forward a number of nationalist policies that increased his popularity at home but, in some cases, worried the Anglo-American Establishment.

First, he signed petroleum agreements with ENI, the Italian oil company.

Then in 1963 he pushed forward on a series of popular reforms that became known as the White Revolution.

The Shah evolved into a nationalist whose path paralleled that of Nasser far too much for the Establishment's liking:

The attack on the Shah's government came through the Muslim Brotherhood and through the mullahs and ayatollahs of Iran, supported and manipulated by British Intelligence...

Dr. John Coleman, a former British Intelligence agent... states in his report on Iran's Islamic Revolution (11) that the Muslim Brotherhood was created by "the great names of British Middle East intelligence" ...and that their mission was to "keep the Middle East backward so that its natural resource, oil, could continue to be looted..."

Dr. Coleman writes that in 1980 the broadcasts of Radio Free Iran divided the enemies of the Shah into four categories: 1. Iranian politicians bought by the Israeli Shin Bet, 2. The CIA's network of agents, 3. The feudal landowners, 4. The Freemasons and the Muslim Brotherhood (viewed as the same enemy).

In his report Dr. Coleman writes that in Iran, "At one time there was even a joke about the mullahs being stamped 'made in Britain.'" When the Shah introduced his plan for modernization in 1963 the Ayatollah Khomeini emerged as the leader of the religious opposition. Up until his exile from Iran in 1964, Khomeini was based at the religious city of Qom. Dr. Coleman relates that Radio Free Iran claimed that while at Qom Khomeini received a "monthly stipend from the British, and he is in constant contact with his masters, the British."
